What are these things, anyway?Annelids are very simple, small, and symmetrical animals. For an organism to be an annelid, it is usually a segmented worm. Sometimes annelids are small, but their size can range from one millimeter to over three meters. Some annelids include earthworms, leeches, and ragworms.

The annelids' Nervous systemOverall, annelids have a simple nervous system. They have "Brains" (this is a loose interpretation- usually when people say this, they are referring to the cerebral ganglion). This brain is connected to a ventral nerve cord, which runs down the length of the organism down the pharynx.
